We want TO BUILD A WORLD CLASS ACTION SPORTS FACILITY

Our New experiences
As a compliment to our current offerings we plan to include

WE VALUE

AND COMMUNITY
our vision
To build a world class action sports facility that will foster a safe and nurturing environment, support a pathway for progression and promote physical and mental wellbeing. The Ranch will draw a diverse and broad patronage on weekends and during the week. This will include general public, school and community groups, elite athletes, team training camps (e.g. snow teams), corporate events, domestic and international tourists and organised competitions. Importantly, The Ranch is a family friendly destination that also caters for the less adventurous who would prefer to spectate. With acres of property there is ample space, with suitably designed walking tracks to watch the action and see the spectacular scenery from multiple view points.
Benefits to our region
It is anticipated that The Ranch will become a significant nature based tourism and recreation offering on the Mornington Peninsula that strongly complements existing tourism offerings.
The action sport community is gearing up. Kids have spent the past few years building mountain bike jumps all across Australia. There was a global shortage of adventure gear (including bikes) as participation rates increased, particularly in skate and BMX due to inspired people (young and old) watching the Tokyo Olympics.
There is currently a lack of facilities to meet this demand. We hope to provide the solution that The Mornington Peninsula needs.

Social benefit
The Ranch is located in an area that experiences relative socio economic disadvantage, with higher rates of youth disengagement. The existing programs and facilities at The Ranch target children and youth; families and school groups represent most visitors. The vision would expand these opportunities to attract more young people to the sport, recreation, and other activities at The Ranch who may otherwise be disengaged. With skilled and passionate coaches, the fundamentals of each sport can be nurtured in a controlled and fun environment where progression can then be achieved.
Environmental benefit
The Ranch has been operating as an adventure tourism destination for over 40 years. The design of this expansion project has been thoroughly and carefully thought out to compliment the natural surrounds of the Cups Country and to minimise disturbance and impact on vegetation.

Economic benefit
Achievement of the proposed vision would result in the number of direct Full time Employment. Jobs supported onsite increasing to 67 jobs – some 51 additional jobs compared to the existing situation. The additional +51 jobs would be supported by new or improved components including the proposed skateboarding barn, wakeboard cable park, mountainboard park, outdoor skatepark and holiday park.
